Founded in Lachine in 2003, Dr. Mathieu Lenis’ clinic—a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Montréal—offers the Greater Montréal population high-quality specialized care, grounded in clinical excellence, rigor, and respect for the patient. In 2018, he opened a second clinic, this one in Ville Sainte-Catherine, on Montréal’s South Shore.

Hospital, academic, and professional involvement

Dr. Lenis has recognized expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery, as evidenced by the many professional distinctions and positions of trust he has held throughout his career. In addition to running two private clinics, from 2006 to 2023 he served as Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the St. Mary’s Hospital Centre in Montréal and at Anna-Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay.

Over the years, Dr. Lenis has actively contributed to training and advancing his specialty. He notably served as a clinical instructor in surgery and as a clinician in the pathology laboratory at Université de Montréal. He is currently a guest lecturer in undergraduate anatomy.

Alongside his clinical practice, he has remained actively involved in his profession. Since 2002, he has been an examiner in oral and maxillofacial surgery for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Québec Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialists since 2005, and was its president from 2019 to 2024.

Since 2024, he has served on the Executive Committee of the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialists, of which he will become president in spring 2026.

Recognized expertise

Dr. Lenis has recognized expertise, as evidenced by the many distinctions and repeated appointments he has received throughout his career. Currently, in addition to running two private clinics, he is Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the St. Mary’s Hospital Centre in Montréal, as well as at Anna-Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay.

In the past, he also served as a clinical instructor in surgery and pathology, as well as a guest lecturer in anatomy at Université de Montréal. In addition to his clinical and academic activities, he holds several professional roles. Since 2002, he has been an examiner for his specialty at the Royal College of Dental Surgery of Canada. Since 2005, he has served on the Executive Committee of the Québec Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialists, of which he has been president since May 2019.
