It <strong>promotes relaxation and facilitates the surgical procedure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In addition to reducing anxiety, the sedatives we use cause drowsiness and amnesia. You will be semiconscious without being completely asleep, and will be able to respond to some simple instructions. Sedation should not be confused with anesthesia. Sedation is a sedative that allows you to be more relaxed compared to general anesthesia, where you are completely asleep.\u00a0 Local anesthesia will be performed after administration of an oral or intravenous sedative. There is therefore no danger in requesting it. However, certain situations are contraindicated. Among other things, a pregnancy, an allergy to one of the medicines used, the intake of alcohol and suffering from certain medical conditions are all factors contraindicating sedative use.
